Beat Jigsaw

The semi-automatic DJ table which everyone wants in their front room! Slide blocks of wood around a table top to create instant mixes of multiple genres, often at the same time. Famous on socials but a million times better in real life, this collaborative interface has kept hundreds of thousands of people entertained over the years. A firm festival favourite and one of our flagship installations.

Light Hearted

The giant LED heart which lights up when two or more people hold hands. This has melted the most cynical of hearts at festivals, lighting trails and arts events.

Two pedestrian barriers placed slightly too far apart to be bridged by one person. When a connection is made the magic happens. The heart lights up with one of an almost infinite series of animated patterns, generated on the fly. It's a beautiful moment!

Scratch Yourself Stupid

This is an arcade machine which allows Live Webcam Scratching. Record yourself and friends into a loop and scratch the video and audio back and forth immediately. Choose different beats and apply A/V effects to make the whole thing go crazy. Recently simplified after a fair amount of confusion, this piece is enjoying  a new lease of life.

Pacbike

An Interactive Installation which allows people to play classic arcade games from the saddle of a reclaimed bicycle. It is tiring, maddeningly difficult and an amusing and hilarious spectacle. The work is a reaction to the limitations of the standard computer interface and an exploration into combining new and old technology. Or is it?

Just Press Play

This is a four player audio stem remixer, each set of controls affects the drums, bass, vocal, or other parts. All parts are in time and vaguely fit together but there is freedom to choose and mix between samples and apply a variety of effects to warp the sounds and create alot of variations.

It's harder than the Beat Jigsaw but some people prefer it. It's less loopy and deeper but slightly harder to master.

Hexagons

An array of Hexagons made from LED Neon, mounted in custom 3D enclosures. Each shape has an arcade button in its centre which cycles through a range of colours when pressed.

It is simple yet rewarding and creates an Interactive Lighting Display which children and adults both seem to respond too!

AV Arcade Table

The AV Arcade Table is a simple hybrid, a table top arcade cabinet that has been converted into a Video Remixer Using the joystick and buttons two people trigger audio visual samples and create beautiful collaborative audio visual collage or a chaotic mess (delete as appropriate!). It comes with two pairs of headphones.

LED Walls

We have two LED Walls which can be paired with other installations. Frequently the acrylic wall is slaved to the Beat Jigsaw to add a visual element. The LED Curtain can be controlled by keyboard to allow people to display large scale messsages in public spaces.

Peepshow

This is a digital update on Mutoscopes of the past. I can't really describe it as it will ruin the surprise! It has been extremely popular and has had countless people dragging their mates in because they think it's hilarious. If truth be told it has now become  outdated by AI and deepfakes. It either needs a revamp or wait until it becomes cool again.

Invanity

Invanity was a walk in infinity room housed in a trailer. Inspired by the work of Yayoi Kusama, it was an Exhibition Trailer with mirrors on the floor, walls and ceiling fitted with LED strip giving the illusion of infinity in all directions. Lights optionally responded to a soundtrack, microphone input or an installation such as Beat Jigsaw mounted inside.

Smackbottoms

Smackbottoms is the worlds second mannequin based guitar hero clone. I've been told there is a Japanese arcade game which has a bottom interface anyway. I've never actually played it. Great Minds and all that. Despite this installation being very popular amongst people of all ages, sexes and nationalities it has been cancelled at least for the time being. We will pretend it is for political reasons but in all honesty it's just really heavy.

Led Roundsystem

The LED Roundsystem was created during a residency at Eastville Project Space. It is a universe of interactive globes which light up, respond to and record music. The globes are made from recycled and upcycled polystyrene cups. Some techy info here.
