Sick Lickle Lights

An interactive sculpture made from recycled bicycle parts. Users pedal stationary bicycles and turn a handle to spin a series of wheels which are connected by chains and gears, mounted on a free standing metal frame. LED strips are attached to the spokes of the wheels so that patterns appear to the human eye. When the rotation reaches a certain velocity, the eye is fooled into thinking that images exist. This optical illusion is known as Persistence Of Vision.
